Got my boat . . . help w/ jetting it?
#1
Well, I'm actually going to get it this afternoon. Fellow BFTer PrinceFisher was nice enough to give me a good deal and throw in some extras. 96'Gulfstream Delta 19' w/ 2000 135HP Mercury Outboard. The motor itself is worth more than I paid, so I figure I get the boat and trailer for free! (thanks PF, I owe you a few fishing trips!) I'm going to pick up two of those 2-for-1 downriggers at sportsmen's afterwards and I should be ready to go!

Big thanks to all the BFTers who helped me decide on a bigger boat and bigger motor. A HUGE thanks to Geezer who drove all the way down to Provo to give it a full inspection and test drive on Utah Lake.

Two big things though, I need to get it jetted for higher elevations and clean out the carbuerator! Can anyone help me with these two, or at least recommend a fair boat mechanic?

I really want to learn how to do the jetting myself so that I can have it jetted for higher elevations, but adjust it for trips to lake powell, etc.

Danzilla is your best bet for getting someone that can show you how to change your jets, he lives in the Salt lake area. If you want to go to a dealer, Lee's marina in Hyrum would be your best bet. I know Sportsman's had the two for one downriggers during the Expo but are they still that price? Congratulations on the new boat. WH2

I guess downriggers are still 2-for-1 by request only. I saw Road said he got two last week by "asking for the ISE special." So I called sportsman's to ask it I could still get them and the first guy said no, then I talked to the manager and he told me to come in and ask for him and he'd do it for me.
