These are really made with glass. There are metal parts but the middle wire has a glass tube on the center piece. These really were meant to be fished and the glass is far from fragile. I found these in a glass blowing shop in the boonies and they are all one of a kind blown lures. Funny story scared me when I saw the store owner do it but he took the glass and smashed it off the counter and I mean he really hit them good. My jaw dropped but they did not even crack. I got a few to sell online as well I thought everyone would get a kick out of them here. I had another lure custom made for myself that is based on a design from the 1800's called a Minnow Tube. The problem with the old tube lures was that the minnow would die as there is no circulation in the lure well he solved that problem and now it should work perfectly. Minnow swims alive in tube and well fish tries to eat the minnow and he gets stuck on a treble hook. I may get a few if there is interest mind they are very expensive $60+ shipping for them. So only say so on the minnow tubes if you really are interested in buying them as I do not have alot of money to spend on them and get stuck with them. The spinners well they are a good bit less as they are not as hard to make but if you ask me they are much more colorful. Back to the spinners though I will be selling them via auction since they are all one of kind and usable. I recommend using them. I have 5 spinners but only 4 will be available as the one is so unique I am keeping it for myself. Call me selfish but hey I want one too. [angelic]
The minnow tube I do have is not for sale as I had him custom make it and enlarge the tube so the minnow had more room to roam to entice the fishies. I just thought it was unique. He cut me a deal since he could get rid of all the fancy stuff such as the red streaks on the side of the glass and the red and white bucktail. Mine is a functional model and I intend to toss it into the lake and go fishing with it. If you want a functional model I can talk to the guy and see if he can cut me a deal again but I think he just did it because he knew I wanted to actually use it. I would have to charge $40+ shipping but it is alot better than the collectible version. I will get pictures of the spinners up as soon as I can. Paypal only folks. I will list them through ebay.com to ensure you are protected as a buyer and myself as a seller. Get them while you still can!
