The weather was nice very early this AM, so Wanda said that she would go fishing with me. We crappie fished from 7:30 til 11:00 AM. We landed 38 crappie this morning off docks. We were fishing in the river and basically caught fish off every dock that we tried. On one dock the count was around 8 and on a couple other docks the count was 14 or more and then just dead sticking the lure when it got close to the boat. We each caught several just doing that. I also landed a beautiful smallmouth bass that was 16.5 inches long and I guesstimated its weight from 2.25 to 2.75 pounds. Strong dude, I know that. Wanda handled the net beautifully. Gator watched the entire action from another dock that was close by. Mrs DK caught almost 1/2 of our total count. We kept 11 fish between 11-12.5 inches long and released all the others. We had several that were 10.5 inches long, legal, but not up to our standards. emoBig
