Started out morning early at the dam, hoping to get into some action. Water temp was 85 and a very small generation was going. Quite a few boats up early which was surprise at 5:30am but we stopped and caught a few shiners the night before and started a drifting. First run caught several white bass, then second time around John caught a nice small mouth and small cat. We made several more drifts and hooked up on several more largemouth's, nothing with size to them. When 8:30am rolled around the boats traffic picked up and the bites for us were few and far between, we set off drifting down river. Managed a few spots on jigs and we quit and decided to hit the lake in evening. I enjoyed a good evening watching John catch the fish, I just lost rigs and guided all evening with only one largemouth and it wasn't a keeper. He caught several keeper bass in about 10 to 17 ft of water on drop offs and deep water docks on plastics. It was a fun evening being the net man!!!
