worked last night .....and again right now tonight...... figured we'd fish for a couple of hours and check a couple places for saturday club tx. we thought we knew where some bigger fish were, but from todays results....we're not so sure anymore. jw and i brought shane with us today... he said he was tired of the 4lb stories on guntersville and wanted a piece of one... jw and i both promised him that he would have his chance.... yeah, we over hyped it a bit.... im sure... and talked a lot more smack than we should have... but thats what guys do... we started off jw let off a nice keeper followed by a slick by myself in the first 10 minutes... both on jigs pretty deep... we moved a bunch today... moved to a new place and then caught a 3.5lber then moved again.... shane hadnt had a bite yet after about 5 stops so, we went to where we knew where some little fish usually hang so we could get him a couple in the boat... (he was starting to gripe a lot by now) we pulled up and i put 3 decent fish in the boat real quick on a jig and they were thumping it hard.. shane had on the ole shaky head... so i told him to swap... cause there was no doubt when you got a bite on the jig... well i then boated like 6 fish from 4lbrs to 14 inches in the next 8 casts.... so we swapped back and he put a small one in the boat, then he went on a rampage and put around 8 or so more in the boat pretty quick... nothing over 2.5bs... then they shut off and we left... it a couple more places got a bite on some and left.... shane with 4lber... we pulled up on the last spot and with minutes remaining in the trip... he said he had a good one on.. and he did.. he finally got the 4lber we promised... mission complete we called it a day.. and we all got 3 hours of sleep and now we are struggling through a miserable night at work......if work will slow down, we may try it again in the morning.... here is a pic of shanes first gunny fish and his PB 4lber..
