Well we went at again early this morning putting in at Shellmound at 3am. Got ready to back the boat in and a log was blocking half the ramp emoHoppingmad makes it hard for a new guy backing his boat in. We got in the water cranked her up and headed to the spot from earlier this week we had a lot of success. We got there was throwing Trig worms and nothing happening I decide to throw my spinner and BAM a new personal best 5lb 7oz we tried to get a pic but it was still night fall so we hurried and got her back back in the water to make sure she would swim away to be caught again. emoSmile We then moved around and stayed in the general area. One thing I noticed on the way to our spot the willow flies were EVERYWHERE. I suggested to throw a buzzbait and well it was on. we caught over 30 (24 keepers) fish on the buzzbait. They really werent blowing it up that hard just like they were sucking it up from underneath it they liked it better with a real slow presentation. They would not hit anything else. About 2 hours after light the bite stopped so me and the boss called it a day.

Weather was cloudy, wind was light but towards then end got heavy which probably didnt help us. Water temp was around 82-83 degrees.

All fish on buzzbait except for one with spinner bait

All fish were released (and swam away on their own) to be caught another day

Thanks and God Bless

May the best times of your past be the worst of your future.
