Shark, Chester Frost CFF Tx - Bank Fishing Division! LOL, BASS, Agu 15th 2009, none
#1
Watched every one launch out to the starting point.

I first used a spinnerbait from beside the restrooms to the main ramp everyone launched from.

I relocated my boat (car) to the end nearest the weigh-in stand as I was going to fish much farther past it. Started at the ramp then fished down to the bend and past the Permanent weigh-in stand and no bites yet. I noticed all the grass around the docks and figured I would get to use one of my favorite techniques - pitchin' & flippin'.

Once again reloacted my boat and walked onto the right dock and made a few casts. I was around 8:45 when I got my first bite. The bass was so close I could see it hit my spinner bait as it stopped against a clump of grass. The dang thing grabed it from the bottom and had the front head and spinner blades in it's mouth, took me a second to realize I just watched this bass eat the wrong end of my bait and it registered even faster when I set the hook and no fish, just pulled it out of it's mouth. I put the spinnerbait rod down and picked up my flippin rod.

Oh yeah.... here goes, time to show my CFF buds here I can catchem' beside the dock in the grass. I worked my way to the end of the dock, and between the pontoon boat that was tied to the dock.
It was 9:12 when I flipped it into the darkest hole and let it fall. Felt the thump and crossed the basses eyes!!! There was a lady sitting on her pontoonboat, parked at the very end of the dock. When she saw me set the hook and haul that toad out of the water...... lol the picture is worth a ton of money!!! Her jaw hit the floor of the boat and she just said oh my lord. That's huge...... The bass was a solid 4 lbs easyly.

Pointer 78 / Jerry and others would have been proud of me, lol and to have that sucker in a live well to boot.

That's my highlight reel....... I did manage to catch a smaller bass on the second dock it the very corner where it angles to the left. It was only a slick, about 12 inches. Caught that too flippen' n pitchin'

I would like to tell you what bait I was using, but if I did.... well then - I'd have to kill all of you!!! lmao JUST KIDDING guys and gals..... I used a green pumkin brushhog on the big bass and then used pumpkinseed on the little one.
The spinnerbait bass maybe would've stretched to about 13/14 inches is all.

The rest of the time was un eventful, fished the boat ramp area with worms and spinnerbait with no luck. I packed it in and left around 12:45. Sore, tired and happy.

Officla Tx results:
Shark - 1st place, 2nd place and 3rd place!
Shark - Big fish 4lbs
Total winnings...... PRICELESS!! met new people and saw others already knew.

Sorry... camera went dead downloading bass pics and others...... didn't get every thing loaded onto pc. Will add pic after waking up. emoBang
