Fleeto (my choc lab) really needed to get out for a while so I decided to take him over to the lake fishing for a while yesterday. We launched the lead sled at Goose pond and rode up to Roseberry to throw a trap for a while. I thought the bite would be off given water temps of 38 degrees but to my surprise I caught quite a few nice bass. Fished mainly around the mouth of Roseberry creek and the first few hundred yards in with a 1/4 ounce Bil Lewis rattle trap in chrome with blue back. I don't tournament fish anymore but I had a nice limit of bass weighing 3.5 - 5 lbs and one about 6.5 lbs caught slow swimming a black jig around a big laydown. All in all it was a great start to the year. I can't wait until the water warms up some. emoFish
