We put in at the river bridge at Stevenson and ran up river. The river surface was smooth as glass. Pulled up into the creek and started throwing 1/16 oz foxtail jugs in blue and brown. The crappie and white bass were hungry for the blue, while the bluegill and shellcrackers liked the brown. We caught 20-25 crappie with only 2 being keepers, 8 nice sized whites and I don't know how many of the sunfish family. Had 5 real nice bluegill and one big cracker. The crappie and the whites were all released. The big bluegill and cracker were released into the pond for the kids to catch another day. Then the fun began. We pulled back to the mouth of the creek and the calm river had been transformed into the North Atlantic. The swells wanted to and trie their best to crawl into the boat with us. After an exciting (not really scary) ride back down river, all are safe and sound.
