Boat or shore? Some friends of mine did good at the marina from he bank, but they rented a boat and did spectacular of gte weedline on the east side of the lake. At 60 foot of water off he weedline they caught a couple pup macs, on jigs tipped with perch. There biggest splake was 27 inches pushing 7 or so pounds. The macs were similarly sized. The splake averaged 13 inches or so. And the kids kept catching splake, perch and rainbows on pieces of perch meat.

1/16 ounce for 30 foot depth, up to 1 ounce for the 60 foot depth. Chartreuse, or black were producing.

You can catch all the trout you want by trolling anything flashy. They are at all depths and very hungry. 1.2-1.4 mph worked best for me. I caught a real nice albino there last week which has never happened to me before at FL.
Be sure to take out all the perch you can, maybe one day we can get some size to them. It was awesome and I miss being there already. Good luck and I hope it doesn't rain this weekend as much as last weekend. [signature] |
