Got a late start for deer creek didnt get fishing until about 8 am. We fished in about 9 feet of water and seemed that every boat we seen was catching some. The fish was in the 16 to 18 inch size class but there was a few very nice 19 inch bows to and we even got one 21 inch brown. We ended the day with about 20 to 25 fish each was off the water and home by 1:30 its nice to have such good fish so close just 20 mins awa yit makes for great short trip

What part of DC were you fishing in? I am surprised to hear that you catch them that shallow this time of year. I thought they would stay deeper. Maybe that is why I have had so much trouble. PM me if you prefer.
Thanks
