Late report but Jeff and I fished Hippy and Troys Saturday night tx out of HBSP last weekend. The bite was a little slow for us but we managed a limit by 9:30. We had a 4 something and two not so good keepers. About 11:00 we stopped at a spot I did well at last summer and I stuck a 5 something that culled a 2 lber. On the VERY next cast I stuck another that went 5.83 I think. That pumped us up!!! Two casts and we upgraded about 8 lbs. We weighed in 15 something and had 1st and big fish for a little while but ended up third. There was a 16lb bag and a higher 15 lb bag with a beautiful 9.51 lb kicker. Not many bites but a great evening on the water and got a new personal best with a 15 lb three fish limit. Cant wait for next Saturday! emoSmile We rotated between scattered rock piles and new grass that was coming in and water temps stayed in the low 70s.
