My "GOSH" it was cold today, and mix that with the wind, sleet, and the snow it makes for a great day of Bass fishing. I got out today with a gentleman looking for a few fish to relieve him form the stress of "Cabin Fever", and catching the fish that we did was just an added bonus for him. I felt like the fish would still cooperate on the deeper grass lines because like I've said before these areas don't get effected by the bad weather like the shallower areas do. The water temps in these main lake areas averaged 40-40.5, which is down from last week and it did make the bite a little sluggish. But still with the slow bite, numbing fingers, tears in our eyes, and the problem of constant ice building up on our rods, hey, we would forget about all of that when our strings were "stretching"! The pattern still holds true with our fish coming on 1 oz. Rat-L-Traps in 8-10 ft. of water. Once again, it was cold but "Man" it felt good to get back out and get on some good fish again. Have fun, Mike Carter
