Horsethief, Warm Lake, Cascade
#1
Fished Horsethief this past Saturday. Only one other group of fishermen. Considering the kill-off and replanting, the fish were nice-sized. Had two and three poles going at a time....worms and 'mallows.....until about 11 AM, and then the hits were feeble at best and one and done. Headed up to Warm Lake and couldn't buy a fish, but it sure was beautiful up there. Stopped by Cascade on the way back and they were doing fairly well for large trout by the city ramp. Most stringers had from 1-5 fish. Mike

Nice report Mike, glad you were able to get out and find some willing fish, at least in the morning. Do you usually fish with worms and 'mallows at Horsethief? Did you try casting any lures?

Worms and a 'mallow (corn flavored) usually seem to do the job! Mike
