Rockport ice condition today

With the colder temps today, I'm curious if anyone tried to get out there today and give it a try? I'm sure it is like most lakes that have been raising and putting away from the shore but how far away is the question and how much slush is on the ice? Any new info would be great, thanks.

Yes tried to get onto Rockport and Echo. the first 10 feet of ice will not hold a person tried multiple places on each. I got wet up to my knees tring

Rockport AND echo were both like that? Dang - never thought I'd be hoping for a longer winter.

I drove by around 10:00 this morning and there were maybe 5 groups by the dam. No one else on the entire lake. Edges looked soft

There are always a few brave souls. Looks like I will need these colder temp to stay around for a while longer before I give it a try, thanks for the info.
