You could launch a boat at the island ramp but we could see a lot of ice near the main State Park ramp when we drove by. Most of the lake is still open water. There were a couple of boats out yesterday.

With the forecast this week for 38-42 for the highs and lows in the 20's and calm winds It might be iffy for Friday.

The trout seemed to be in the top 15' of the water column and we saw a lot of fish in the 35' - 45' range near the bottom too.

Thanks! I wad going to take my boy ice fishing, but when I saw your report I would much rather take the boat and cover some ground trolling! More preparation to get ready for the boost but less tiring the day of...[]
