Fished with a friend today. Put in at CFP, temp was 59. Ran a little and went to one of his spots. Caught our first within 5 minutes. I threw a squarebill, and Joe was using a shakey head. Good action for about an hour or so. Most of the fish were on shakey heads. I threw a Zoom finesse, green pumpkin or a KVD 1.5. Made a move to another area, caught five or six. Moved downriver, temp in the river was same as CFP, fished docks and added more fish to our total. Ran up past the nuke plant and worked another one of Joe's spots. The fish were cooperative and we had good action, using the same baits. Finished at Skull Island, water was 57 here, and things were much slower. Biggest fish was 3.5-4#. Our bag might have hit 10-11 #. By Joe's count, we had around 30 caught today, in many different locations. Most were shallow, surprise ! The boat was anywhere from 2 to 25 fow. By the way, it was wet, rained late morning and the rest of the day. Really poured right when we were heading in, go figure. If Joe post's, he will have some pictures.
