deer creek info.
#1
WeI went to deer creek today I thought my boat needed a work out. Beautiful day little wind in the morning but by 10 o'clock very calm. Saw about 20 other boats only one calmed to have touched a small rainbow.
We fished for walleye/small mouth, with out a taker. Tried ten colors of plastic. Tired jerk baits and crank baits. We used cents and power baits. The water temperature was 47 in the morning around the Island and later rose up to 55 up by the Provo inlet. That should mean walleye in the river, maybe. Even the cheese lovers couldn't find a taker.
Dragged some pop gear and still nothing, that's always produced for me.
Well it was better than mowing the grass. But I still will have to cut the grass tomorrow.
Did anyone find anything at Jordanelle or Willard?

Too bad no catching happened, did you use a crawler on the pop gear? Willard has been doing pretty good for cats but everything else is pretty slow right now, at least for most of us.

That's a story that needs to be told. Our access route was up Provo canyon. While going up 800 north we stopped at the maverick gas and bought night crawlers. Ready to go, I can always catch rainbows on pop gear and worms, well as we motored out from the island I opened the crawlers to find fermented worm soup. Soo no worms!! I tried using power worms and grubs but no bites.

[#0000FF]Bummer. But it serves you right for not inspecting the worms before you bought them.

I always check to be sure I am getting the left handed blue eyed ones.

Would you believe that when I once found a similar box of "past-date" worms and showed them to the cashier I was told "They will still work"? NOT.

I know we all get in a hurry at times but that's one thing you have to always check, maybe that has never happened to you before but now you can see what happens when you don't. Did you take them back and ask for a refund?
