Willow Pond curfew?
#1
I know you guys don't do city pond stuff much, but the big waters are hard for me to get to :/
I'm moving to Holladay next month (if all goes well), so researching new places to go practice my casting LOL

I can't find times for Willow park pond. Does that mean I can go after sunset? Millrace pond closes at 9pm, which is only dark after it's too cold for me to be out anyway Wink

Thank you... I love you guys! [laugh]

I've fished both Willow Pond and Sandy Pond. The goldfish in the picture is in Willow Pond and is much bigger now.

Sandy Pond "closes" at 10 P.M. and seems to me that Willow Pond does, too. Many years ago, when I fished them more often, they were popular for night fishing way past closing. To some extent, that hasn't changed as police generally ignore people who are night fishing. Perhaps they are just making sure the parks aren't used for teenage drinking. I'm not sure as I've been told twice by police the park was closed after 10. I'm thinking that enforcement has changed or there are new officers who enforce differently.

Congratulations on your move. The community ponds can be fun. I've used them to do something and relax after work when there isn't enough time to go to reservoirs. It's been convenient to have a pond about a mile away from work to try out new fishing equipment. I like the clear water to see the action of new lures and at different retrieve speeds. I like that I don't have to go far to match different lure weights with different rods and compare performance of the rods. In doing so, I usually get interference by pesky fish biting my lures, so you will catch fish. One tiny fish was quite ambitious as the lure was almost the same size.

Thanks, Kent.

Well, I suppose I can go there and see if it's posted on signs, on site. If not, I'll go by the "better to ask forgiveness than beg permission". Besides, how much of a troublemaker can this bratty little kid™ do, when tethered to an oxygen machine? LOL

I gotta buy new rods, though... we were cleaning off the patio, and trying to get done fast, and I think my fishing bucket got tossed in with other trash stuff. Ironically, I still have my campfire bucket, that I'll probably never use again [laugh]

LOL You're totally worth a fortune! ^_^
I still have your jigs. It was only my poles that were on the patio.

Technically I'm already here. Been at the Highland Care Center for the last month. (I guess we don't call them old folks home, or even nursing home...gotta be politically correct!) And of course, I'm the youngest one in this joint [laugh]

I was supposed to move July 1, but of course the government (Medicaid) paperwork got delayed. So now it's August 1...I hope. Then I'll be at Alta Ridge.

[#0000FF]I'm sure I can fix you up with a couple of outfits that will handle anything from bluegill to small sturgeon. I'm down to my last 100 rods or so, but I can probably spare a couple. Got some reels and a lot of line too.

[#0000FF]We only live a few minutes away from Willow Park Pond...so maybe we can do a an evening picnic and fishing thing. Our schedule is pretty full for a week or so but I'll have my social director get together with yours and we can work out something.

Yay!
This week is full for me, too.
I would love to have stuff to keep me occupied, and make time fly... it's going ssooo sslloooww. I miss my cats [Sad] I can't get them back until I get to Alta Ridge

The best way to stay in contact with me is with that bookface thing LOL... but I'll try to make it a habit (again) to check in here daily Smile
