Another great morning at Echo was had although the water level has plummeted about 5 feet since a week ago. Kept 8 nice perch not granddaddys though. Today I decided to change my presentation using a jigging shad rap under a slip bobber to try and wrangle up some bigger fish. Caught perch after perch and had a big aggressive trout try and engulf an 8 inch perch I was reeling in. Caught a rainbow which easy released itself after pulling out of water. Then along came the power squad and the fishies were far and few between.

Another great report from Echo, were you tipping your jigging shad rap with any bait?

My buddy and fished Echo today.[Monday]
We were targeting Smallies for the first part of the day. Lots of smaller Bass are everywhere. We did get several that were over 12" though with a couple reaching 15".
Then I switched to a drop shot rig and went looking for Perch.
Only one Perch for the day but we boated over 20 nice Bows.
All trout were clean of worms.
Everything went back to be caught another day.
Weather was interesting.
Started with a light cloud cover and very nice temps.
Then a storm front came through and cooled it off even more.
Then came the rain for about 15 minuted.
After all of that, the front moved through and left it nice and cool till about 1:00 pm.
then it got hot and the fishing slowed down.
We left at about 3:30 pm after a great day on the water.
