Tip up town

If I get up that way this weekend I will post something .
I understand most things will be held on shore because of the thin ice .
Yea , there is ice but extreme caution is advised .

I saw on the news yesterday where a man his girlfriend and a baby was walking out on saginaw bay the ice shelf broke off, and starded heading out, it took a hover craft to resque them.

they dont know how fortunate they realy are...

some of the smaller lakes up here have up to 3" and that's it .
we have between 6" and 9" of snow on top of that , unless we get a whole lot of sub zero weather you ain't gonna see too much safe ice .

we will have two nights of lows down to 5* before saturday, with the high being no higer than thirty during the day.

I might look at a couple small ponds this weekend to see if any of the stocked ponds have any ice...

Most of the cuts a frose over , small gills are being pulled on wixom lake in Gladwin county .
There was a report of 40+ Northern cought on one of the smaller lakes .
I'm not shure but , the lakes over at Sugar prrings might still be under the "any size is a keeper " permit . I haven't recived confirmation from the D.N.R. to see if this is true or not .

Shiver on the river " , last day for residents to sign up is this friday I guess Grand prise is a grand $$$$$$$.

no anglers on the lakes down here yet, after fryday we can expect to find sections of lakes showing signs of stable ice, but if you are not a skilled Ice angler dealing with thin ice dont venture on even if you see some one else on the ice.... let it grow for a few more days.
