Maple River
#1
Sorry to be contantly bugging you guys...

Regarding my post earlier about "Catfishing in MI", I've recently been hearing about Maple River, one of the tributaries to the Grand River as a prime spot for Channel Cats.

I looked at some various maps of the river and tips to go along with it and it also said a strong smallmouth and pike fishery. It looks like a pretty secluded river which is what I am looking for, so if anyone knows of any places to possibly pitch a tent on this river, or has any helpful information about it, tips, hints, bait, etc. Please let me know, very interested. Thanks once again -Chooch

the park I told ya about is where the maple and grand rivers come together.

there is the maple river campground 20 miles north east of the park I told ya about in Ionia county.

I forgot to mention that it is state land, on all state lands you need to check for ruling about having ground fires with local park manigers.

if your trip misses the storms you can get a rental canoe and head off away from camp, but there are a lot of canoers that travel those rivers.... on the up side they are quiet...
