We went up to the berry late Wednesday got there and Finally on the ice around sundown (6PM). There was 3 of us in my group and we started catching fish immediately. We fished until about 10 PM that night, and ended up with around 35 fish that night.
We had rented a room at the marina for the night and returning from our spot on the lake to the marina was the coldest snowmobile ride I have ever been on. It was 34 degrees below zero, then add the wind factor of the snowmobile. Absolutely cold!
We were a little slower then we wanted to be getting back out in the morning. We didn't get back to our holes until around 7AM. Fishing was slower in the morning then it was the past night, we ended up with about 15 more fish, for a total of a 50 fish trip for 3 of us. Not the hottest trip ever but we have also had a lot slower trips.
Ice conditions are fantastic. Super thick ice, NO Slush, and not more then 4 or 5 inches of snow on top. Very accessible from either a snowmobile or ATV.
