Echo 2-4-11
#1
Fished Echo Res. today from 10am-3pm. Slow day at first . Started out in about 30 feet of water north of the north boat ramp and my buddy caught one small rainbow. We moved farther to about 45' and he caught a couple more around 16". I moved out to about 50' and about 2:30 they started hitting fast about 12-18 feet deep with several hitting on the way down on both a Triple Teazer and night crawler and a wax worm on a Ratfinky . We left about 3:30 having caught 14 fish between us. We took a few home for eating left the others for the next time.

I was there today also, north of you. Started out in 50' of water with nothing. Moved in close and caught two rainbows one small one and one about 16". My buddy ended up with the big fish of the day with a brown around 19". Slow day for us

No Perch to be found. We tried down on the bottom and never got a nibble. Heard they have nice size if you can find them.

That brown sounds nice. It was my first time on Echo, I'll have to go back again.

[crazy]Just wondering if you know of anyone catching perch at echo or have seen any pictures. I fished it today and found the perch but they were only 6 to 7 inches, and they didn't bite for very long. After catching 7 perch they shut down and all they would do is come up take a look and go right back down. Tried everything I could to get them to bite but couldn't find the hot bait. I'd like to know if there are some good ones in there this year cause I'd certainly go after them if so, really wasn't hard to find them.

I was there yesterday looking for the perch. Drilled a bunch of holes in areas where I've done well in the past. Nada. The water level is higher than I've seen there in a long time, so I'm sure that affected things. But the great perch fishing from a few years ago has been MIA for me since.
