Derek told me a couple of times he was snake bit and had bad luck this year. I have never been one to believe that kind of stuff so I just laughed it off and did not think much about it. Today we decided to go do a little pre fishing for the up coming CBA and we hit the water at sun up. Seemed like most of everything was going as planned other then the rain. emoRain First one came in the boat hit my rig in about 10 feet of water. I weighed her and she was 3/5. emoThumbsup A little later on a drop right at 8.5 feet another crushed the rig and it was 2/14. It looked like we were on our way to a nice little limit but that must of been when Derek's bad luck kicked in. He hung up and lost a rig with three swims on it. Sad We hit a couple more places and I decided to eat a couple crackers. Dang...forgot to put them in the boat. Derek on the other hand had the hang ups. Most of them he got back but some he lost. I saw one of the eyes on my pole was bent so I reached up to straighten it out and "snap"....eye breaks off in my hand. emoScratch Maybe there is something to this snake bit thing. We decided to move again and as we went up river I noticed the front was not coming up. emoAngry Looked down at my trim and the needle was bottomed out. emoConfused Try as I did it would not work. emoMad Kept going plowing water all the way. Move into a ditch and felt I was too close to the right side. As I turned the boat to center the ditch....."BAM!!!" emoEek I hit something. I came to a stop and tried to look at the bottom of the motor but since the trim would not work we could not see it. emoDoh Started back up and the whole boat was vibrating. I knew then the prop had been bent. emoHoppingmad It was too late to do anything about it so we limped on back into the flat and caught four more bass all short. Told Derek we might as well call it a day and head back. We plowed water and vibrated all the way back down river to the launch. It was a mess getting it back on the trailer but with some guys help we got the motor up manually and I headed home. emoCrazy

I sure hope we do not repeat this day again. emoGoofy Jmax
