Has anybody fished Joe's Valley? I'm moving to Ephraim for school and want to give it a try. Any tips or advice would be much appreciated. I would really like to catch some splake trout since i have never caught any. Also if you know any other good fishing holes up Ephraim Canyon let me know. If you don't want everybody to see your secrets pm me. Thanks everybody.

Take LOAH's advice. We've also done well on the Joe's Valley tigers using Rapalas and big streamers. The stream below Joe's is a neat body of water for your fly rod too.
Good luck with the new digs and post some picts of your upcoming adventures.

I fished Joes valley Tuesday night. Don't bother with day time fishing. Early morning or late evening should catch something. I used a crippled herring in glow for most fish, tipped with sucker meat. The glow jigs were just ok. The glow spoon was HOT. Fish were just above the weeds or in the lanes between the weeds. Tough to see at night so get there a bit before and mark where you want to fish. There are some big splake and tigers in there.

9 mile is closer and can produce some great tigers and other trout, great for ice fishing as well.

There is Redmond that is about a half hour south that has some pike just incase you get tired out chasing trout.
