Lake Powell Oct. 10-14 - Open Seat
#1
So I have had this trip planned and have had 2 people bail out on me. This is a boys trip, I am leaving my wife and kids at home.

The plan is to leave on the 10th in the afternoon and return Sunday the 14th. I will be taking my boat and shore camping in a canyon just out of Bullfrog. If you can fish hard, and play harder and are interested in coming with me, let me know. I usually fish all day and even some at night as well.

This is sounding more like a personal ad, but damnit! I want to take my new boat to Lake Powell! If I dont fill this seat I will swallow my pride and just hop on another friends boat.

Hit me up if you are interested. Cost is shared gas and food. I'm looking for someone who wont roll your eyes when I crack open a beer or drop an F-bomb. Smile Nothing against those who have more conservative values, I just don't share those same views.

FYI, the fishing is better than it has been in 15 years! Some big fish being caught and the numbers are ridiculous!

Here is my ride.

Sounds like a fun trip, any idea on what it will cost for food and gas?

Oh dear...

I'm sure that the spot has been taken, but if it hasn't... I went with Pikeman earlier this year and I haven't stopped thinking about it. AMAZING.

If it's still available, I am more than interested. I like to think that I have good board-cred among some of the guys I've fished with, but then again, I'm kind of a tool. Meh.

Let me know and I'll start greasing Mrs. Trout.

Thanks,

Dave.

Trip costs each year are around $250-300 each. Really depends on how much running around I need to do to find where the fish are hanging out. (probably not as much running around this trip since I have it dialed in this time of year).

Seat is open, if you are really up for it, I want to meet up and maybe do some close bank tangling at a local pond (I know some good spots). I have blindly gone on trips with people I really don't know and sometimes others personalities dont mesh very well. Would hate to get someone on my boat that frankly didn't like me or vice versa. I'd love to go but that is kind of what I thought on the cost and out of my budget, now that I'm retired. Sounds like Dave is interested, so maybe you have someone that can go down with you. Good luck Craig, please let us know how you guys do.

Probably should mention, we are young "wippersnappers" and we like to party pretty hard and get crazy! Cliff diving, horseshoes, drinking games, etc.

When I get back I plan to spend some time at Willard. May see you sooner than later anyway!

If you need someone to go out with you to Willard, keep me in mind, I've been around that lake a time or two, maybe between the two of us, we can put some fish in the boat.[Wink]

Will take you up on that as long as you don't mind fishing for Smallmouth between the boils. Smile

No problem Craig, with the wiper catching being so slow lately, smallmounth might be the only catching to be had, unless the bolis start up again[Smile].

I blame my wife. I just don't understand how she can be upset that I am asking for 4 days of fishing in a week instead of my usual 3. Seriously, what's that extra day going to hurt?
