I had a chance to take the tube out on an afternoon and morning trips over the past couple days.
I hit Newton yesterday afternoon for a couple hours. The Crappies loved the olive and black buggers. Had I been content to reel them in, I could have caught 50+ in the two hours I had to fish.
As it was, I reeled 9 including a doubles.
I went to find something bigger but nothing bigger wanted to play with the toys I brought.
I'm still searching for my first Muskie....
Early this morning I hit Scofield for my first tube trip up there this year. Typical Scofield... pretty slow fishing but when you find them, there are some nice fish.
I caught two small ones and the 19" Cutt in the picture. I had another nice one on but didn't get it all the way into the tube.
I was glad I bought the small hand net a few days ago for the tube.... it came in handy today. That Cutt likely would have broken my line without it.
