I got my Idaho invasive sticker in the mail today. Under "Sticker Placement" it reads, "For canoes, kayaks and other small rigid boats, the sticker can be placed near the bow of the boat above the water line on the port (left) side..." That is nice to know, but if I have a full-size boat do I also place the sticker in the same place?

I would place it next to your registration sticker on the port side. In Idaho, our sticker is billed as part of our registration, and we no longer are required to have an additional sticker when we license our boats.

Make sure it can clearly be seen with binoculars. If you crowd any thing else, you can bet they will come over and chat. They are redoing black sands so the marine patrols will be out full force at CJ, the more inspections they do, the more funds they get.
I see there are new owners at the one stop in Bruneau. I'll stop and check them out and let you know what I find.

Put it just aft of the hull ID and UT registration stickers.

I don't get the question. It comes with/as part of your normal registration and the sticker isn't required, in which case, why does it matter where you put it?
Personally, if it isn't required, I'm going to put mine in the garbage.

HNH, Kent is from Utah, and the Idaho invasive fee is not included in his sticker. He has to buy one to boat in Idaho.

Non-motorized vessels can not be titled in ID and do not require registration but all unregistered vessels, including kayaks, canoes and inflatables over 10ft must display the sticker. Yes, even that old beater canoe you only use once a year requires a sticker.
