Georgia Angler Tops Sunfish Record
ROYSTON, GA—James Beals of Royston, Georgia, recently hooked a new state record green sunfish while fishing a private pond. Beals' fish weighed in at 1 pound, 4 ounces, and measured 11 3/8 inches. The previous state record, caught in 1998, weighed 1 pound, 1 ounce.

I do not envy them nor do I give them praise. I just report what is reported to me. In a way it is rather funny to see when the size of the fish that I throw back in Cali is a state record somewhere else.

At least we all can catch what we catch and enjoy what we do while we watch others boast and brag about small fish.[cool]
