No prizes yet. At this point it would be for bragging rights.

Would you like to contribute some prizes FFL?

FlyGoddess, Kochanut, EvilTyeDyeTwin, and I were the contributers last year. This year I will not be putting up $25, and EvilTyeDye isn't either.

Besides I feel like there needs to be a few changes if the contest runs this year.

#1- Less than 8 fish. (I think only 2 contestants even caught 8 fish speices) (I would be more for 6 species total)

#2- Allow fish measuring boards. (I tried one and it was great!)

#3- Dissallow catfish entries. (Fly anglers almost never target them.)

#4 - Have a shortened date structure. (Entries dropped off significantly by october and we are already well into April).

#5- Proposed entry fee to create a prize? (Entry money would be due within 1 week of registration.)

If I think of more I will add them.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR OTHER SUGGESTIONS!
PLEASE POST THEM UP HERE!

I'm one poor kid that's planning to move soon if I can save enough money but if you want me to contribute prize wise I can give the winner your big map book [laugh].

Ya only tbd and I caught the 8 but I'm still up for 8 doesn't really matter to me.

Tape measure/ no measuring boards.

No catfish in contest agree. No one really target's them at all on a fly rod. If you do catch one it's just luck.

April- first day of September for last post would be fine.

$5 fee like the ice fishing contest sounds good.

Only use fly rods no regular rods with a fly like last year again.

Carp and Suckers can be entered.

"No argument's/fight/stupid comments in anyone's thread or pm. If anyone does it they get a automatic elimination from the contest."

That's all I can think of at the moment.

It will probably run from May 1st to Oct. 1st.

Regular rods we NOT allowed last year and won't be this year either.

I say this rule should come in affect.

As a mod in the contest I will handle the bickering accordingly, if it even comes to that.

Nothing is ever automatic, but BFT does have rules and standards that need to be upheld. Let's play nice folks.[fishin]

Measuring boards are what I use in my competitions and they work very well. I am for them. I am in, and can donate some stuff as well.

What about having each contestant sending in a fly as a "entry fee" and giving it to the winner of the comp?

Flies can be as cheap as 50 cents, hand tied, etc.?

Of course those who have donated some prizes already (big thanks to you guys by the way) would not have to submit a fly as an entry fee.

You'd be surprised how well a random fly pattern works out there.

Contest is about to commence....stay tuned!
