Where to start... I decided to use up two of my vacation days to get a little fishing in. Got out about 7:15 this morning. Put in at HBSP. Ran to my first spot and had to wait a little bit for someone to finish picking it over. Fished a fluke and a trap for about an hour with no bites. Decided to move to plan B and I had picked out 3 vertical drops to try out as new spots. Made a run and all 3 had boats sitting on them. I was like man on a dang Tuesday no less. So I spent the rest of my trip trying new spots and new presentations with absolutely not a bite at all. Pulled out at 12:30 cause my belly was screaming for food. I was amazed at the amount of people fishing on a weekday. Several out of town rigs. I tried to maintain a positive attitude in spite of fishing for 5 1/2 hrs without a single bite. I believe I am gonna try a new body of water with a fresh mindset tomorrow and see how it goes. At this rate I think one of y'all is going to have to give me some lessons cause Im ready to catch some dang fish!
