We trolled on Strawberry yesterday. Trolled large white tube jigs, tipped with worm. We used 1/4 oz or 3/8 oz jig heads, 1.5 to 2.0 mph fish are near the surface. Bite was consistent from 0700 to 1230 when we came off. Largest was right at 20" with the average 16-17". All nice and fat and I can't believe I am saying this - the cutts actually fought very well. True the 4 rainbows worked us harder, but the cutts held their own. I would guess, we each released around 30. Nothing like Kent's 100+ fish days, but then Kent knows the cutts better than me - not bad for a Koke fisherman.
We started in the bay south and west of the main marina. Then moved north to the bay where Strawberry river comes in and found bigger and more concentration of fish.
