You are right! It is about time for the new Pole and Troll regulation. Time was there were only a few fishermen in this area, but that time is gone. Too many fishermen and too little pristine area left.
The jacks are mostly liked by orentinals, but there's a retired banker who lives in Orlando and fly fishes for tarpon, who says jacks are the best tasting fish ever. Even above reds and trout.
The reds are mostly school size, but there are a few bulls in deeper water towards Titusville, (about 30 miles south). Come June or July and there will be large schools of bulls in this area.
