Hey HammerFamily, thanks for sharing your memories about company's pond. The archery range was gone when I discovered it, but I chased many lizard's there as well http://www.wildutah.us/h_whiptail_greatbasin.html#Photo. What a great idea to have drawn a map of all the contours and features when the lake was drawn down. I wish I would have done the same thing and taken some pictures as well but it just didn't occur to a 12 yr old to do that kind of thing. I still remember the general layout and the deepest areas though.
Is Hobbs Reservoir the other place north of Holmes that you fished at? I wasn't aware that it had fish in it. I've alway's thought that Adams Reservoir to the west of Holmes Creek and below valley view golf course would be a great warm water fishery if they stocked it with bass and bluegill. There is another pond of some size over by the Kaysville cemetery that looks like it could potentially hold fish. With as popular as community fisheries are becoming I think it would be a good Idea to look into these, and other waters as potential fisheries. What do you think? I'd like to hear others opinions about exploration and expansion of the community fisheries. Those gravel pits at the base of weber canyon would sure make some awesome perch/ walleye ponds![fishon]
