"where is a good area for a float tube where skiers usually don't go around much?"

[cool][#0000ff]Well, you could try the parking lots. No skiers, but lots of trailers.[/#0000ff]
[#0000ff][/#0000ff]
[#0000ff]Oh yeah, the pig farm is usually skier-free. But it is tough to launch a tube.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Seriously, anywhere you can launch a tube there will be the POWER SQUADRON. But, as WH2 suggested, you can avoid a lot of that by going early or going during the week. No guarantees. I have been buzzed at daybreak in the middle of the week by the only boat on the lake.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]After the shad spawn (this month) the shad fry will be looking for shelter. Some collect along the rock dikes. Others go back into the marinas. Of course the predators follow and you can get some good action right inside the marinas from your float tube without having to fight off the noisy crowd. I have had some great days fishing boils inside the marina when all the boats launch and blast off out into the open lake. It can be like having your own private pond sometimes.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Good luck.[/#0000ff]
