Thought I'd try my hand at bassin' this morning, so I hit the grass at Stevenson Park around 5:00 A.M. Water temp was 81, beautiful morning for fishing. Started out with a green/yellow Ribbet fishing the lily pads. Had three blow up on it, then I slowed it down and started catching a few. Also tried a Pop-R and a buzz bait, but went back to the Ribbet and started catching fish again. Worked all the way down to Hwy 72, then back to the park. Ended up with around 15 fish total, two of which were measuring fish, one 18" and the other about 21". Lots of fun, but no groceries. All were released to bite another day.
