Gary and I had scheduled a "test" trip for today to see if the action was good so he could bring his father here next week to fish for cats again. Judging from yesterday, it's a "yes", but today was completely different than yesterday.

We went out for 3 hours (expecting to be driven off of the water by the 60% chance of thunderstorms which were forecast), only to find that the water flows were absolutely marginal and that the blue catfish weren't having any of it today. Lots and lots of tiny nibbles by those 3-to-the-pound size, one nice hit that I broke off (bad spot in the leader!!!) and a grand total of one 6 lb fish for each of us. We had a very good time together again, but I have failed Biofisher miserably for about the 4th time - we still haven't pushed his personal best above the 20 pound mark! We'll do it one day Gary!!! Here's a pic of Gary and his cat - I sure didn't have to waste many pixels today photographing fish.

I got out fishing 2 days in a row! YAY!!
