small black stone fly

There are very large small stone hatches on the Logan and Blacksmith - some call them "snow flies"-
Usually crawling around on the snow banks.
There's a myriad of flies that are used and sometimes it takes going thru a lot of them to get the ticket.
Last week a small thin sparsley hackle griffiths gnat produced failry well.
