Went out of CF park this morning around 8:45...went to first spot nadda....moved to another spot close by and second cast whammo....3lb 14oz LM.....2 cast later a shortie. Fished a few more minutes another LM 2lb 7 oz. The day is looking good so far....but it got even better....a few minutes later Todd catches a 3lb 4oz. LM. Turned around to fish the same stretch and I get a good hit and line starts rolling....I am thinking catfish but then change my mind to a foul hook....nope!!!....7lb 11oz LM...according to the scales....we have 4 fish that weigh 17lbs in 45 minutes....the day is looking really good now....<br /><br />We continue catching fish after fish after fish...approx 20 keeper fish and the smallest one was the 2lb 7oz and numberous 3 lb fish. Best 5 weighed 21lb 15oz according to the trusty scales. A great day on the lake considering my first trip for the year. Caught all of them on rattle baits in skinny water...all returned to fight again...
