Launched at Suck Ceek ramp at 8am since the CBA was on Chickamauga. Went To a spot I've been catching on a rig a month ago. Fished about 30 minutes with no luck so I moved back into a slough and was using a Shakey head. I was fishing parallel to a bank with structure on it. I felt a small tap then my line started moving, I reeled down and set the hook. The fish had me hung in the brush for a minute then I was able to work it free. It pulled really hard and took some drag. First thought was I have a drum because it never surfaced, boy was I wrong! She came up beside the boat and it was a big Largemouth emoDance ! What a way to break in my new to me Skeet Reece rod I recently purchased from skeeter07. After landing fish I weighed and put in livewell so I could hopefully find someone at the ramp to take a few picks of her. This was my personal best and it weighed 8lbs 11ozs. It 22in long and her girth was 19in. After a couple of pics and measurements I released her to fight another day. I caught a couple more spots and lgm but nothing big.
