Me and a friend went crappie fishing last night for a little while. The full moon made it nice and bright out and also made the fish hungry. I'm not sure what's the deal with the crappie but they are in extremely shallow water and aggressive if you can find them. Most were caught swimming dark colored BG's in 2-6fow. They were clobbering it and then peeling drag and jumping towards deeper water.
Most of fish were from 12-14.25in. I caught 5 on consecutive casts over 13in. I think we had 30 keepers out of 50 fish and left the big ones biting. It felt like fishing during the spawn.
It was a really fun night other than dealing with ice in the guides.
