Not much secrets on the ice. Best Accesses are:
-The State Dock till it blows in
-County dock
-Area North of the County Dock that a lot of people keep the road packed down
-Around Staley's but parking is limited
-The bay on the north end that has a parking lot right next to the road (forget the name right now).
By now its a look at what everyone else is using and use that path to get on the ice. I usually do my best where the water is 4-10 feet deep and even then I usually catch them in the top 2 feet of the water column. Early usually, is the best 7-10 and then the bight usually drops off. Fish can still be caught but just experience up there that 10 till about 1:30 it can get really slow most days. I've also stuck it out and hit an afternoon bite around 2 ish a few times.
