Thanks to Gots2fish and Fishluvr for the schofield reports. In the spring I fish over by the island, but in the winter, I'm usually straight across the bay opening from where Fishluvr was. I fish off the point across from there in 12-20 feet of water and have almost always had unreal success. I know there were plenty of days we stopped fishing to let our hands warm up from removing fish. Sounds like the size is increasing and the numbers are going down slightly. My girlfriend wants to do more fishing with me and I was thinking about Schofield. I might just have to get her over there and see if it is still as good as it was 5-6 years ago.
I had noticed in years past that the fish seem to be schooled up and swim in a circular pattern. No bites for 30-40 minutes, and them every pole in the camp slams 2 or 3 fish, then nothing again. Does this still happen?
