For me personally, I think we are very fortunate to have the IDF&G managing our outdoor recreation opportunities. There are many variables that have to be considered and tough decisions that have to be made in an attempt to satisfy the majority of the diverse and opinionated group of outdoor enthusiasts that live in or visit Idaho. Based on the positive experiences I had in 2015 I think they've been doing an outstanding job. I also appreciate the time that was invested in preparing such an informative newsletter, so thank you for sharing that with us as well.
The effort to control aquatic vegetation is interesting to me. The Sho Pai tribe in Duck Valley introduced grass carp to Mountain View reservoir a few years back and it seems to have helped improve that fishery, at least in terms of the overall angler experience. I'm glad to see that IDF&G is studying the different options that are available beyond just introducing chemicals to control weed growth.
