Since moving back to Boise a few weeks back, I've have the chance to get out 3 weekends now. 2 were spent on Cascade fishing perch and trout and last weekend was spent out in Oregon on the Columbia River chasing my beloved eyeballs. Trolling for trout has been lights out on Cascade with solid numbers of 16-22" fish, especially from sunrise until about 11 am. Perch have been good too, you just have to spend some time searching with your electronics. Side imaging is an invaluable tool for searching out schools of active perch. Once you find them, they'll eat for sure.
The Columbia is now my favorite body of water in the west. I can't wait to go back. My first trip ever on that body of water, I was able to boat about 30 walleyes with the largest at 30". She was put back to spawn again.
Anyway, if there are any other walleye people hiding in the shadows, shoot me a message. Would be more than happy to make some room in my Ranger. Here are a few pics...
