Went to Rockport today. Between 7 of us were caught over 100 fish (I would safely guess) by 1130. 4 of the fish were last years planters around 16 or so inches. The others were all that 10 to 12 ish inch fish, this years planters. No tagged fish. I myself caught about 30-35 rainbows and not one would have hit the 13" range. Everybody was catching fish. Ice was 10+. people everywhere. We fished around in the statepark. tied up 5 different rods with 5 different things just the norm stuff, tip with waxxies. all work equally. all caught fish. slowed off a little after 10 or so. but caught fish until we left
Cheers.
Lake Powell soon.

One of my buddies caught one perch in about 14 FOW. We were not targeting perch at all. I fished in 10 or less FOW. if I was up there a whole day I would have went looking for some.

Thanks. It was pretty good some years back, but the last few year's reports haven't been too promising for perch.

Perch fishing at Rockport continues to be good, I've seen no downward trend in the last 5 yrs, you just have to be willing to look for them and get away from the crowds. see my report from yesterday.
