Oneida Narrows
#1
Hello all. I would like to fish the Bear river in the narrows below the reservoir on Saturday but I am a bit nervous that the weather as of late may be blowing out the river. Has anyone been out their recently and seen the condition of the river? Thanks for any info.

In a week the Bear River below Oneida Dam has gone from 500 cfs to 2200 cfs and has now dropped to 1200 cfs. That is still a LOT of water.

The Bear River gages information is on the Pacificorp site.

Thank you for the reply and the link. I am hoping it keeps dropping before Saturday, I will keep an eye on it. I will post a report if I make it out there. Thanks again.

Went for a drive to check it out on Saturday and the river was really high and fast with a lot of debris floating. We stopped at the part of the river where mink creek flows into the bear and I didn't consider it fishable.

Thanks for the update chugglax3. It's looking like it may be a bit before the water calms down.
