Koke addicts

A Colorado lake that has harbored kokanee, rainbow and brown trout for many years has finally opened for recreation, including fishing, a few weeks ago. It's Lake Nighthorse located next to Durango, a popular tourist destination. It's 350 miles from Provo, three hours from Moab. The daily limit is 10 kokanee and 4 trout. There should be some really big ones awaiting experienced anglers. I sound like a promoter for the area, but I just thought some of you might be interested.

Here's a site that tells about the lake and the area. It's probably best to do your own online research.

Duranglers Flies and Supplies, obviously, is flyfishing oriented but may be able to tell about how the fishing is in the lake. They would also be a great source for fishing the famous San Juan and other prime waters in the area.
