Strawberry Saturday
#1
We fished Strawberry Saturday and launched from the marina around 5:45 AM. Started fishing just east of the marina and caught our first Kokanee within 15 minutes at 35 feet deep. After that it was a bit slow. We finished until about 1 PM and were able to get our limits for all four of us on the boat. Most of the fish were caught between 35 and 48 feet deep. We couldn’t really find a consistent color. We were using pink, orange and green and seemed to catch and equal number of fish on each color. We lost several others at and near the boat. Five of the fish we caught were in the 3 pound range and the others were all 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds, with a couple of smaller ones as well. Overall it was a very fun outing.

I can’t believe how busy it is starting to get up there, especially on the weekends. There were probably 200 boats in the triangle maneuvering around each other.

My boy was there he said he would never go again on a Sat.
hope people stay home this Sat.
we have the Disabled Veteran Fishing Event
it will not be a lot of fun with all the boats around. and it looks like catching is starting to slow down.
